I ordered this Round Wooden Cheese cutting board to use here at home. We are usually hosting company here at home, and we typically put out cheese and crackers.
This walnut board is beautiful. It comes untreated, the company sent instructions on how to treat it.
I’ve put mineral oil and beeswax on the board to treat it, and let it set until absorbed. This needs to be repeated until the wood no longer accepts any more oil. The instructions say to set upright to let it dry, I did but let it lean on the wall near the counter.
Never ever fully submerge your cutting board in water, you need to wash it with your washcloth then rinse with spraying.
You can deep clean it, in case you have foods that leave residue with coarse salt and lemon juice.
This cutting board truly is a beautiful piece of walnut. It would make a great gift with some cheese and perhaps a cheese cutter.
